Baha Mar Senior Vice President of Administration and External Affairs, Robert Sands led the group on a tour yesterday, introducing Gaming Board executives to the casino leadership team at Baha Mar that will manage the high-end gaming experience, including mobile and interactive gaming.<\/p>\n<p>The tour demonstrates the co-operative partnership between Baha Mar and the Gaming Board as progress is made towards new casino gaming legislation for The Bahamas that, according to Prime Minister Christie, would \u201cbring it into line with leading competing jurisdictions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 100,000 square foot Baha Mar Casino \u2013 the largest in the Caribbean &#8211; will consist of 1,500 slot machines and 50 table games.<\/p>\n<p>Recent discussions with Gaming Board officials centered around the licensing and hiring protocols that will facilitate approximately 1,000 licenses for gaming operations at Baha Mar, including gaming and non-gaming personnel.<\/p>\n<p>This as the Baha Mar Academy continues to invest in Bahamians, offering a free Casino Dealer Trainee Program. Participants will be trained for featured games at the Baha Mar Casino, as well as Baha Mar-specific service standards and supervisory skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to work with the Gaming Board as the country moves towards modernizing casino gaming legislation to make Baha Mar competitive with global gaming destinations such as Las Vegas and Macau,\u201d said Paul Pusateri, Chief Operating Officer at Baha Mar. \u201cBaha Mar is also committed to our ongoing investment in service training so that our team is ready to provide world-class service for our guests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Casino Dealer Trainee Program is scheduled to begin in July 2014.
