The gold and bronze medals won by eight-time Olympian Sir Durward \u2018The Sea Wolf\u2019 Knowles were presented by him to the museum yesterday, during an official ceremony at the Collins House Grounds.<\/p>\n<p>The medals and trophy are the first sporting awards to be showcased in the museum. Although the decision to add the hardware to the museum\u2019s collection was not an easy one for Knowles, he is hoping that the immeasurable gifts can inspire the nation\u2019s youth to aim high.<\/p>\n<p>Knowles has made significant contributions to The Bahamas, in both sports and community projects. He was knighted in 1996 and received his O.B.E as an awardee on the 1964 Queen\u2019s Honors List.
