{"id":8059,"date":"2011-04-27T08:34:44","date_gmt":"2011-04-27T12:34:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=8059"},"modified":"2011-04-27T08:34:44","modified_gmt":"2011-04-27T12:34:44","slug":"saunders-beach-draws-a-crowd-over-easter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/04\/saunders-beach-draws-a-crowd-over-easter","title":{"rendered":"Saunders Beach Draws A Crowd Over Easter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nassau, The Bahamas \u2013\u00a0 Hundreds of Bahamians gathered at the new Saunders Beach to celebrate Easter Weekend and enjoy the improvements to the beach environment facilities, including the new civic-friendly town planning layout.<\/p>\n<p>Native beach goers were not shy in expressing their approval of the Government\u2019s decision to upgrade the popular holiday beach site.\u00a0 They look forward to witnessing phase two of the development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, we\u2019re out on the beach enjoying the scenery and loving the new Saunders Beach and enjoying the scenery with the family,\u201d said Phenise Metterick, from Oakes Field in New Providence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFriday we went to church, Saturday we rested and Sunday we went to church again and now today we are out on the beach.\u00a0 Today, we are just relaxing.\u00a0 I love the benches and it\u2019s changed a lot.\u00a0 It\u2019s much nicer.\u00a0 I\u2019d love to see the trees bloom some more so we\u2019ll have some more shade out here.\u00a0 I\u2019ve noticed the trash bins and stuff and I don\u2019t see much garbage floating around the place.\u00a0 People are keeping it clean and that\u2019s good.\u00a0 It\u2019s a plus.\u00a0 The sand doesn\u2019t go anywhere.\u00a0 It\u2019s always here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Public opinion positively extended a range from young to old, male to female, and attracted an agreement from all aspects of socio-economic representation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m enjoying my Easter holiday on the beach.\u00a0 [Saunders Beach] is wonderful and we like the improvement.\u00a0 It\u2019s beautiful,\u201d said Annamae Fernander.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, on Good Friday we went to church and right now today which is Easter Monday we also now spending it together as a family on the beach, which is Saunders Beach.
