{"id":80666,"date":"2014-09-23T09:45:00","date_gmt":"2014-09-23T13:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=80666"},"modified":"2014-09-23T09:56:53","modified_gmt":"2014-09-23T13:56:53","slug":"gbpa-welcomes-clarity-on-customs-regulations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2014\/09\/gbpa-welcomes-clarity-on-customs-regulations","title":{"rendered":"GBPA Welcomes Clarity On Customs Regulations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-80667\" alt=\"gbpa-vat-customs-bahamas\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/gbpa-vat-customs-bahamas.jpg\" width=\"550\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Freeport, Grand Bahama \u2013The Prime Minister addressed recent agreement by the Government to remove various customs fees paid by Port Licencees from July 2013, while touring the Grand Bahama Shipyard.<\/p>\n<p>Since\u00a0July 1st 2014, imports of duty free goods under the HCA under C14 forms are no longer subject to the 1% processing fee.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding press comments as to certain export and other fees on such goods not as yet \u00a0having \u00a0been removed as contemplated, the Prime Minister reiterated at a Press conference: &#8220;The Government honours its commitments. There is no deviation from the intention.
