{"id":8403,"date":"2011-05-09T08:21:06","date_gmt":"2011-05-09T12:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=8403"},"modified":"2011-05-09T08:43:42","modified_gmt":"2011-05-09T12:43:42","slug":"promise-of-new-hospital-to-be-unfulfilled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/05\/promise-of-new-hospital-to-be-unfulfilled","title":{"rendered":"Promise Of New Hospital To Be Unfulfilled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE government has admitted that its much-touted promise to build a new hospital using BTC sale money will not be fulfilled due to a shortage of funds.<\/p>\n<p>Despite collecting $210million from the sale of the telecoms company, Minister of Health Dr Hubert Minnis said the $600million price tag for replacing the Princess Margaret Hospital is &#8220;money we do not have&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>At a town meeting on Thursday night, Dr Minnis conceded that a new hospital is necessary.
