With an active 2011 Hurricane season predicted, meteorologists say that the season could begin with a storm in late May, days before the scheduled start of June 1.<\/p>\n
In recent times experts have noticed that there has been no respect for the closing date of November 30, as was seen in previous years when Wilma hit in early December.<\/p>\n
Therefore, they suggest people begin preparing for the season ahead.<\/p>\n
In April of this year experts from the Colorado State University, Philip J. Klotzbach and William M. Gray, predicted that there would be 16 named storms this season, which begins June 1 and closes November 30.<\/p>\n
Additionally, they noted that there would be 80 storm days, meaning days when storms will be active somewhere in the Atlantic.<\/p>\n
