{"id":8844,"date":"2011-05-24T08:27:23","date_gmt":"2011-05-24T12:27:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=8844"},"modified":"2011-05-24T08:35:27","modified_gmt":"2011-05-24T12:35:27","slug":"oil-exploration-company-moves-forward-in-the-bahamas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/05\/oil-exploration-company-moves-forward-in-the-bahamas","title":{"rendered":"Oil Exploration Company Moves Forward In The Bahamas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bahamas Petroleum has hired oil services company Fugro to carry out a high resolution seabed survey across its licence area.<\/p>\n<p>Bahamas &#8211; an AIM-listed oil firm &#8211; is currently working through the early stages of exploration over five petroleum exploration licences, covering 15,676 square kilometres, in the territorial waters of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.<\/p>\n<p>It has already completed a successful 2D seismic programme, which confirmed the prospectivity of the area by finding multiple structures over a larger than expected area.
