First up is the Old Skool Reggae Party at Pirates Pub & Grill on Saturday, November 8th.\u00a0 Doors open at 8 p.m.\u00a0 DJ Furze and Pirates Pub kick off the season with an evening of throwback reggae.\u00a0 Tickets are $15.00 which includes a free drink, and all proceeds go to the BHS.\u00a0 Thank you to Titos Vodka for sponsoring this event.\u00a0 Event menu attached.<\/p>\n
The BHS Raffle tickets are now available!\u00a0 Buy yours today from the BHS or from a member of board member, and you could drive into the new year in a new car!\u00a0 Tickets are $5 each or a book of 21 for $100.\u00a0 The draw will be held New Year’s Eve at the Mall at Marathon.\u00a0 Tickets are selling quickly so buy yours today!\u00a0 Please see the attached flyer for a full list of the twelve amazing prizes.\u00a0 Thank you to all our fantastic donors!<\/p>\n
The BHS will have its annual table at the BNT’s Christmas Jollification.\u00a0 Come out and start your Christmas shopping!\u00a0 We will have dog and cat toys for sale along with magnets, t-shirts, tags, and other goodies.\u00a0 Come and visit us there on Friday, November 21st from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (BNT Members’ Evening), and on Saturday, November 22nd and Sunday November 23rd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.\u00a0 Volunteers will also be needed for this event!\u00a0 Please contact me if you’re able to volunteer for some or all of the time.<\/p>\n
For those of you interested in fashion, Cole’s of Nassau & Morley for Men will be hosting their 36th Annual Holiday Luncheon & Fashion Show in aid of the Bahamas Humane Society.\u00a0 Join us at 12 noon at the British Colonial Hilton for the spectacular display of clothing for both men and women.\u00a0 Tickets are $100.\u00a0 Please contact Cole’s of Nassau downtown for tickets.<\/p>\n
After all of this, you will certainly be ready to relax under the stars and listen to some Broadway tunes.\u00a0 Join us on Friday, November 28th at Jacaranda House for Broadway Under the Stars.\u00a0 This elegant evening will feature Franz Hepburn singing Broadway tunes for your enjoyment while you dine in Jacaranda’s lovely gardens.\u00a0 There will be a cocktail reception from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the show begins promptly at 7 p.m.\u00a0 Tickets are $175 per person, with a limited number of VIP tables of 4, 6, and 8 people at $200 per person.\u00a0 Please contact jacarandanassau@gmail.com or call me at the BHS for tickets.<\/p>\n
New to our schedule this year is a Christmas Festival at Graycliff House on Saturday, November 29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.\u00a0 If you weren’t able to stop by the Jollification, come and visit our table here for your Christmas shopping!\u00a0 Volunteers will be needed here as well.\u00a0 Please contact me if you’d like to help out.<\/p>\n
We’re pleased to announce that dog adoptions have begun again!\u00a0 If you’ve been on our waiting list, or have been thinking about adopting, please come into the shelter to meet our adoption dogs.\u00a0 Adoptions hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.<\/p>\n
