{"id":9474,"date":"2011-06-17T08:02:35","date_gmt":"2011-06-17T12:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=9474"},"modified":"2011-06-17T08:02:35","modified_gmt":"2011-06-17T12:02:35","slug":"barefoot-bandit-to-change-plea-to-guilty","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/06\/barefoot-bandit-to-change-plea-to-guilty","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Barefoot Bandit&#8217; To Change Plea To Guilty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Colton Harris-Moore, the teen whom authorities have dubbed the &#8220;Barefoot Bandit,&#8221; will be singing a different tune when he enters a Seattle courtroom Friday.\u00a0 He will be changing his plea to &#8220;guilty!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harris-Moore had previously entered a not guilty plea during a federal court appearance June 9.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, a lawyer representing him said attorneys were working on the details of a plea agreement.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors were not keen on the boy being allowed to tell his story via a book and\/or movie deal, even though the money raised was apparently to go to compensate the victims of the teen&#8217;s crimes.<\/p>\n<p>Harris-Moore gained notoriety and earned his nickname for allegedly leading police on a two-year manhunt while eluding capture in stolen boats, cars and planes &#8211; usually while barefoot.\u00a0 He was finally caught in The Bahamas, only a few days after he allegedly crash-landed there in a stolen plane.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Colton Harris-Moore, the teen whom authorities have dubbed the &#8220;Barefoot Bandit,&#8221; will be singing a different tune when he enters a Seattle courtroom Friday.
