A 41-year-old Grand Bahama woman will be the first female in The Bahamas to be tagged with the electronic monitoring bracelet since its inception.<\/p>\n
Patronella Russell, of Hunters, who is accused of arson following an incident in her hometown last month, appeared in a Freeport Court yesterday before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson to answer to the charges.<\/p>\n
She is indicted on two counts of causing damage by fire as it is alleged that on Thursday, May 19, 2011 around 8:00 p.m. she intentionally and unlawfully caused the dwelling home of Andy Rolle, which is situated in Hunters, to be set on fire.<\/p>\n
The damage to the wooden structure is said to be in the amount of $4,036.<\/p>\n
As for the second count, police allege that the fire destroyed Rolle’s valid Bahamian passport that was said to be valued $500.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
