{"id":9649,"date":"2011-06-27T07:19:22","date_gmt":"2011-06-27T11:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/?p=9649"},"modified":"2011-06-27T07:19:22","modified_gmt":"2011-06-27T11:19:22","slug":"bar-president-says-keep-privy-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bahamasb2b.com\/news\/2011\/06\/bar-president-says-keep-privy-council","title":{"rendered":"Bar President Says Keep Privy Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President   of the Bahamas Bar Association Ruth Bowe-Darville has expressed  concern  over recent calls for the country to move       away from the  Privy Council as a final court of appeal in the wake  of a controversial  ruling on how the death penalty should       be applied.<\/p>\n<p>Bowe-Darville said Bahamians who suggest abandoning the Privy Council are \u201ctreading in very dangerous water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCriminally,   it\u2019s one thing.
