International Professional Artists Symposium and Exchange

The International Professional Artists Symposium and Exchange is a not-for-profit organization which allows selected artists to work together in a studio environment to exchange ideas and create art. The first symposium was held in Nassau, Bahamas from Oct. 15 to Nov. 15, 2004.

The general public, students of art and schools in the community were invited to view the artists during that period, to see the way they work. At the end of the period the sponsors of the artists received an original painting or a piece of sculpture that they had seen come to fruition. The sponsors received a sense of their contribution to the community and a high quality piece of art as well. The Symposium fostered an interchange between the artists, between the students and the artists and between the general public and the artists, providing a learning experience for all involved.
