The Bahamas Agricultural & Industrial Corporation is a quasi-government agency that was established through an Act of Parliament in 1981 and became operational in 1982.

It's mission is to stimulate and encourage the creation, expansion and promotion of small and medium sized businesses, thereby facilitating employment and import substitution.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
This Department is responsible for developing business ideas into viable projects.

BUSINESS ADVISORY SERVICES
This Department is responsible for providing consulting services to all Bahamian businesses.

HANDICRAFT DEVELOPMENT
This Department is responsible for the facilitation of handicraft development throughout the Bahamas.

MARKETING RESEARCH/STATISTICS
This Department is responsible for assisting small and medium sized businesses with marketing and merchandising consultation.

MICRO LENDING FACILITY
This is a short term loan program which is designed as a lending facility for Bahamian manufacturers who have been awarded contracts but need to access additional monies to purchase raw materials for the completion of the contracted goods

Livestock, crop production, food processing, fish & crawfish processing, shrimp farming, fish farming, smoked fish

Small hotel, guest house, bed & breakfast inns, theme parks, nightclubs, native shows, non-manufacturing operations.

HANDICRAFT
Straw craft, doll crafting, jewelry production, wood craft, raffia craft, Junkanoo art & craft, shell and fish scale craft.

MANUFACTURING & INDUSTRY
Textiles, footwear, industrial and household chemicals, paper products, furniture, food processing, beverages.
