WE ARE COMING TO THE BAHAMAS JAN 15TH FOR 7 DAYS, FIRST VACATION LIKE THIS. CONCERNED THAT RESORTS AND BEACHES ARE DAMAGED FROM HURRICANE, SHOULD i BE. PLEASE ADVISE? ARE THE BEACHES STILL NICE AND SOFT SAND OR ARE THEY NOW ROCKY AND HARD BECAUSE OF THE HURRICANE. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECITED

Not sure which island you are visiting but I guess it doesn't matter. There are great beaches on all islands of the Bahamas, right now!

While the hurricanes did some damage, most of it has recovered, except for small areas of Grand Bahamas, San Salvador and Abaco.

In Nassau/New Providence, you can only say, "What hurricane?"

Planning on staying at the Westin at Our Lucaya, GBI. Have heard there was a lot of damage to the hotels during the hurricanes. Can anyone tell me if this is true and what the condition of the resort is at this time.
