Hi~ Just wondering how much it costs to rent snorkeling gear (for hour, day, and/or week) in popular places like Cable and Cabbage beach? I'm trying to figure out if buying a set would be more economical, but a good set seems to be running about $50-70 and I just don't know if I'll use them that much.

Thankyou!
DW

I don't know of any of the hotels that will rent gear without you being a guest. Even then, I've been told they are quite pricey.

I'd check Sam's Club or Sport Authority. No need to buy anything super, as long as it fits properly. I've seen them for under $20.
BTW.. snorkeling from the beach is not all that great, there are no living reef systems that close to the beach. (There is a small reef off of the Radisson, but very few fishes.

You'll have to take a snorkeling tour in order to really see anything worth while, and those tours have there own equipment for your use.
