Hi all, I will be staying in nassua at the cable beach resort ,my first trip to the Bahamas ,can anyone tell me if it is worth renting a car for the week or am I better off taking local transportation taxis, buses ect.

Don't rent a car. There is plenty of public transportation. Plus if you're not used to driving on the left side it can get confusing.
