I applied for and received an International Driving Permit on August 03, 2001. It was issued to me then by the "International Licensing Bureau" of Nassau, Commonwealth of the Bahamas, #21019, and has an expiration date of August 03, 3001 (ten years of validity). Is this a valid license for driving in the United States?

I believe it is valid in the US but only for a short period of time. As in most countries, international permits are valid only until you get the proper driving license for that country, usually 6 months.

BTW - I assume that date was a typo. 3001 is a long, long time from now.
