It is amazing that I can not find any web site that shows typical Bahamas architecture details. I am building my home and I want it to look as close to the bahamas architecture as posible and I can not find anything on the web

Try Jackson Burnside's website. He has a few nice detail shots of Bahamian architecture.

I am an Architect in Key West Florida and I was raised in the Bahamas. I am also fond of Bahamian architecture and incorporate the “style” and detail in my work. I am not aware of any publication that specifically describes a “Bahamian vernacular” archetype. You may want to consider Key West Style architecture, after all Key West was settled by Bahamians. Or you may look at Southern States for direction because of the influence of immigrating colonist back in the 17th century. The books that I reference are:
Caribbean Style by Suzanne Slesin
Caribbean Elegance by Michael Connors
This one is the “Bible” for any Key West/Bahamian Architecture, American Typologies Key West by Eric Valle.
Good Luck
Peter
