Pastor Steven Duncombe was arraigned before Magistrate Renee Mckay in Court six, Parliament Street, yesterday on a charge of manslaughter by negligence. It is alleged that on Sunday, June 11, Pastor Duncombe negligently caused the death of Alonzo Francis Jr, 18.
Initial reports stated that around 2 am on Sunday, June 11, the St John’s College student, who was driving a Jeep Cherokee west on Prince Charles Drive, was thrown from his vehicle when it collided with a white Chrysler travelling in the opposite direction. Francis reportedly died at the scene.
Duncombe was represented by Wayne Munroe yesterday. The case was adjourned to September 20. Duncombe was granted $10,000 bail with two sureties.
