Police Inspector Walter Evans said the two victims ﾖ ages 25 and 28 ﾖ were at a party around 12am when gunshots were heard.
The younger victim, a resident of Big Pond subdivision, reportedly sustained lacerations to the left side of the face, while the 28-year-old was shot in the face, according to police reports.
Inspector Evans said both men were wounded seriously. However, their conditions were not life threatening.
Police also reported Sunday that officers attached to Operation Quiet Storm recovered a 9-mm handgun and 11 live rounds of ammunition from a 20-year-old suspect in the Churchill Subdivision area around 3am.
According to the police press liaison officer, the young man attempted to dispose of the handgun and ammunition upon seeing the police. Police said, however, that the officers were able to take those items and a 20-gauge shotgun along with seven live rounds of ammunition, which were reportedly discovered in the area, into their possession.
They also arrested the suspect.
