Profits have increased by 100 per cent over 2003 levels at the British Colonial Hilton following a strong summer, with room rates up 10 per cent over last year.
Figures for July showed an 85 per cent occupancy level at the hotel, compared to 75 per cent in 2003, Michael Hooper, the Hilton’s general manager told The Tribune, saying that early reports for August show the month should end between an average of 75-77 per cent occupancy rate, a nine-point improvement over last year.
