Flight delays at Nassau International Airport once again created a chaotic scene yesterday as more passengers had to stand in long lines for hours before reaching the security checkpoint.
According to Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport Lorraine Armbrister, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has laid down criteria to be followed to ensure smooth and safe operations at the airport. As a result of the implementation of these security measures there have been lengthy delays at the security checkpoints.
“These criteria have been put in place because this is a pre-clearance area, so from time to time there will be certain inconveniences,” she said.
