I guess that some people may be a bit puzzled by the title of today’s article; so let’s first go to our dictionary to get an accurate definition of the word ‘Parasite’. Webster’s New World Dictionary defines the word ‘Parasite’ as “1. A person, as in ancient Greece, who flattered and amused the host in return for free meals 2. A person who lives at the expense of another or others without making any useful contribution or return; hanger-on 3. A plant or animal that lives on or in an organism of another species from which it derives sustenance or protection without benefit to, and usually with harmful effects on the host”.
So in short, a ‘Parasite’ is someone who lives off another, a person who just takes without contributing anything back, and who usually ends up being harmful to those whom it takes non-stop from. In the animal kingdom, we’re all familiar with ticks that attach themselves to animals. Some can attach themselves to humans too, causing a very serious disease called Lyme Disease, which can ultimately lead to arthritis and heart damage. In the plant world there are climbing vines, like ivy, which can actually kill its host tree, as it saps nutrients from it.
But My Friend, it is my contention, that there are a whole lot of human parasites, who are in fact preying on others, just taking from them, without giving anything in return. The first group that comes to mind are Political Parasites. This group of humans attach themselves to people by flattering and amusing them, just like in ancient Greece, in return for a free ride, so to speak.
Now in all fairness, there are some decent, dedicated people who go into politics with a view to contributing to the betterment of society. However, these brands of genuine politicians are indeed few and far between. Unfortunately, the majority worldwide appear to be the type who just take from society, whilst puffing up their huge egos. They quite definitely are parasites of the vilest kind.
Another group of Human Parasites who attach themselves to people, and who end up making the whole of society sick, is union leaders worldwide. Unions, as far as I’m concerned are just businesses, who suck money from the unsuspecting workers, whilst infecting them with negative attitudes and destructive work habits. They often end up by completely poisoning society.
Then there’s another group of human parasites, which just attaches itself to people, taking their money, and so often destroying their minds with their poisonous teachings, which repeatedly tell them how bad they are…that they’re sinners. These people are the Religious Parasites.
Now once again, let me hasten to add, that there are indeed many wonderful leaders in the field of religion worldwide, who are indeed genuine in their calling. However, there is an ever increasing group of religious charlatans who literally prey on people, sucking them dry, in an effort for them to surround themselves in sheer opulence.
So My Friend, in conclusion, you need to be on the lookout for parasites of all kinds, not just the animal or plant parasites, but the human parasites, who will cause you a whole lot of trouble.
