Industrial action against BEC management has begun, according to Bahamas Electrical Workers Union (BEWU)) vice president Stephano Greene.
Yesterday it was reported that BEWU members have officially launched a series of industrial actions that could escalate to power cuts.
Speaking to The Tribune, Mr. Greene said union members at BEC are on a “go slow”.
Mr. Greene had reportedly told the press that at ᅠthe Labour Department on ᅠWednesday, the union had dealt with a frustrating meeting with management personnel who failed to compromise their position regarding five of six industrial issues.
