The company, which carries a wide range of marine products, announced that its operations are much more efficient with the additional space.
According to a press release from the company, “With the expanded space, additional phone and fax lines, as well as a modern computer inventory system, the company has increased its capacity to offer more products and more efficient service to its customers.”
Harbourside reported in a press statement that its new facility covered over 20,000 feet. This expansion includes “covered storage, showroom, workshop and administrative space, ample customer parking and additional open storage in the rear of the building to store boats and other marine equipment. A standby generator system delivers power during power outages so that operations can continue without interruptions.”
Some of the company’s products include Yamaha-brand outboard engines, motorbikes and scooters, watercraft, golf carts, generators, water pumps, small power engines and accessories. According to the release the company maintains a large parts inventory in support of its after-sales service. Its inventory in outboard engines is estimated at 200 units “ranging from 2HP to 300 HP, both 2 and 4 stroke engines”. The company’s stock also includes Boston Whaler, Contender, Sea Ray, Eduardono, Angler and Sundance pleasure and utility boat lines, some of which will be sold at reduced prices during tomorrow’s grand opening. The press release said, “Current inventory includes over 40 boat hulls and consoles together with a large variety of tops, benches and seats so that each boat can be custom designed and then fitted with the engine of the customer’s choice.”
In addition, the company recently supplied Yamaha motor cycles to the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF). The diverse menu of items sold by the company also includes fishing gear. “For fishermen, both sport and professional, there is a complete line of fishing equipment. The company is a distributor for Shimano fishing gear and has a wide variety of bait and rigs.
“In order to achieve its goal to provide a one-stop location, the company also carries Continental aluminium and galvanised trailers together with the most complete trailer parts stock in the country.”
Harbourside also boasts of having the best trained technicians as a part of its team. “Technicians are factory trained and computerised performance analysis is applied in the workshop and out-of-shop work,” according to the press release. Some special promotions will be part of the company’s grand opening. Harbour-side reported that all in stock items would be sold for 10 per cent off the original price. In addition, all outboard engines in stock will be discounted at 20 per cent off the original price.
The Nassau Guardian attempted to contact Ian Rademaker, Harbourside’s owner, for comment. However, he was unavailable up to press time.
The company reported that Mr Rademaker has been in charge of the company since its reorganisation four years ago. The company’s service manager is Shane Wells, and David Hayling is the company’s head of the parts department.
“The company continuously strives to improve service levels and product availability and has committed itself to deliver value for money to its customers,” said the company in its press release.
