Prime Minister Perry Christie, and Minister of Works Bradley Roberts, will open a two-day conclave organised by the Bahamas Electricity Corporation to discuss major corporate initiatives aimed at producing significant operational changes and improved employee synergy at the Corporation.
The retreat, which begins on January 30, will also serve as the launching pad for the High Performance Workplace (HPW) plan designed for BEC in 2002 to address methods of eliminating all major impediments to reliable electricity service in the country.
Managers, supervisors and union representatives attending the retreat will come together to develop ways of creating a cutting edge environment with increased empowerment and motivation of personnel.
It is expected that a strategic plan to complement the High Performance Workplace module will be drafted during the proceedings.
Management hopes that the retreat will result in good corporate exchange and serve as a means of propelling BEC forward as one of the most efficient corporations in The Bahamas.
