Before Magistrate Carolita Bethel, the defence started to lay the foundation for tis case in the fight against the five, who are being sought by the US to face drug possession and importation charges.
Charged are Austin Knowles, Shawn Saunders, Edson Watson, Nathanial Knowles, and Police Constable Ian Bethel.
Lead defence attorney, Queen's Counsel Keir Starmer, made it known in court that he was requesting the Commissioner of Police or the Assistant Commissioner of Police to address various issues regarding arrests and searches.
