Following three months af surveillance of Club Caberet Seduction, located in the West Ridge family shopping plaza, police officers moved in on the premises at 11:00pm Saturday and arrested all present, including patrons of various nationalities, plus the establishment’s proprietors.
Police said in addition to the information gathered from the surveillance reports, residents’ concerns were the compelling factor in the police action against the club.
Police Supt Christopher McCoy, who led the operation, reported that 15 officers conducted the raid and arrested 46 men and 30 women. Charges of soliciting for immoral purposes can be expected to be brought against several of those arrested.
The club’s owners will be further charged with an alleged breach of the Liquor Licence Act and possibly the Immigration Act.
Supt McCoy said the last time the police had conducted an operation of this nature was when they shut down the Club Fantasy in palmdale last year.
