New Low Cost Carrier To The Bahamas Coming In December

Song Airways, Delta’s low-fare carrier, is expected to make its inaugural flight from New York City on December 1. The airline will be competing directly with another lowfare carrier, JetBlue, which has a direct NewYork / Nassau flight introduced November 1.

As a marketing strategy, Song’s first flight to the Bahamas will include American Idol finalist John Stevens, who will be releasing his first album early next year. The airline’s Bahamas launch ties into Stevens’ remake of the classic hit, “Come Fly With Me”.

The Inaugural flight will be coming from John F. Kennedy Airport and will arrive late on that afternoon. It will be followed by a landing celebration to include representatives from the Ministry of Tourism.
The tourism representatives and executives from Song are expected to be on board that first flight.
