Continental Airlines To Expand Service Between Bahamas, South Florida

As part of the increased service, Continental Connection will inaugurate flights between Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Andros Town on the Bahamian island of Andros, with four roundtrip flights each week. The airline also will offer daily service linking Fort Lauderdale with both Georgetown and Governors Harbour, Bahamas (up from four weekly flights during the 2003 winter season), and will increase service linking Fort Lauderdale with Marsh Harbour, North Eleuthera and Treasure Cay, Bahamas. Flights will be operated by a combination of 19-seat Beech 1900 and 30-seat EMB-120 aircraft.

モI would like to congratulate Tom Cooper, chairman of Gulfstream International Airlines ヨ the 2004 Bahamas Cacique Award Winner for ムAirline of the Yearᄡ ヨ for yet another pioneering initiative,メ said the Honorable Obie Wilchcome, minister of tourism for the Bahamas. モContinental Connection’s flights between Fort Lauderdale and Andros Town represent the only scheduled air service between the U.S. mainland and Andros. This provides Continental’s global customers with convenient access to Andros and, by extension, opens up brand new vistas of accessibility to all points on Continental Airlinesᄡ route network for Andros residents.メ
