Freeport – Grand Bahama Detectives are investigating the island’s first homicide for the year that occurred over the weekend when a 35-year-old man was gunned down and killed in the driveway of his residence in the Montgomery Subdivision.
A young man wearing a grey sweater and a tam was seen running from the area of the residence shortly after gunshots were fired.
Several spent casings were retrieved from the driveway by scene-of-crime investigators to assist police with their investigations.
This makes the sixth murder for the country in the first month of the new year.
