Fortunately, he was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital, where a team of The Bahamas’ finest medical professionals quickly diagnosed the problem and prevented it from worsening. The doctors later said that Mr. Chrisite had suffered a “mini-stroke” but assurred the public that the Prime Minister had no permanent damage and is expected to recover fully. Mr. Christie is currently convalescing at his home for the next month.

Mr. Christie admitted, shortly before the incident, that he felt “tired” and that he had not taken a vacation since prior to the 2002 election campaign.

BahamasB2B joins people from around the world in wishing the PM the best of health and hopes he enjoys his much needed time off.
