Christie Expected To Lead PLP In 2007

Despite suffering a stroke in early May, Prime Minister Perry Christie is expected to lead his party into the 2007 general election.

Many have wondered if the prime minister’s health would have prevented him from participating in the hectic campaign leading up to the next election.

However, party officials say that there is no indication that Mr. Christie’s health would require him to take a reduced role in the leadership of his party.
