The Islands Of The Bahamas partnered with Oprah Magazine in May to celebrate the publicationﾴs five year anniversary issue, themed “Living Your Best Life,ﾒ culminating with a sweepstakes and a chance to win a trip for two to The Islands Of The Bahamas, which generated over 80,000 entries! The issue included a multi-page, in-book promotional section providing readers with hints for ﾓliving life to the fullest.ﾒ
In addition to the in-book section, the ﾓLiving Your Best Liveﾒ theme continued on the Oprah website where readers registered to win the sweepstakes; a trip for two to The Islands Of The Bahamas including a 3-night stay at the British Colonial Hilton and a 2-night stay at the Coral Sands Beach Resort. What better way to ﾓLive Your Best Lifeﾒ?!
Both hotel properties have received the kind of exposure that only the top contributing sponsors have received.
Oprah Magazine has a circulation of over 2.5 million with approximately 1 million issues distributed on the newsstand. And the May issue is expected to be one of the publicationﾴs top sellers!
The Oprah/Bahamas partnership reached a mass audience, driving awareness of The Islands Of The Bahamas as well as the British Colonial Hilton and Coral Sands Hotel.
The first 5,000 readers to register for the sweepstakes received a special gift bag with products to help them ﾓlive their best life,ﾒ one of which includes a CD of The Bahamas Virtual Island Hop Tour. This virtual experience is unique to The Bahamas and educates the consumer about the multiplicity of experiences gained in The Islands Of The Bahamas.
