Minister of Trade and Industry Leslie Miller yesterday denied that he had signed the PetroCaribe agreement without Cabinet approval, and hit out at his critics for trying to drive a wedge between the Bahamas and the United States.
Mr. Miller told the Tribune newspaper Sunday that the agreement has gained tremendous support throughout the Caribbean and the Bahamas would be foolish as a non-oil producing nation not to take advantage of the benfits of PetroCaribe.
He said the agreement “has exceeded the expectations of every leader in the Caribbean.”
