Charged were Desmond Rolle Wilson, 19, of Fourth Street and a 17-year-old female of Plane Street.
It is alleged that the pair abetted Refshinko Alphonso Stubbs with the rape of a 13-year-old girl on June 27.
The pair was not required to plead to the charge. Wilson was denied bail and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison due to a previous conviction and the teen was granted $10,000 bail with two sureties. A preliminary inquiry was set to continue on September 7.
Rape
Meantime, Refshinko Alphonso Stubbs was charged in the same court with engaging in sexual intercourse with the female aged 13 years without her consent on June 27.
The 18-year-old of Palm Tree Avenue resident was not required to plead to the charge and was granted $10,000 bail with surety. A preliminary inquiry into the matter will commence on Sept. 7.
Damage
Appearing in the same court to answer a charge of damage was Dahl Johnson, 40, of Fire Trail Road East.
Police say that Johnson caused damage to the front windshield of a 1994 Cutlass Sierra valued at $396, the property of Edmond Edwards on June 27.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $1,000. The case will continue on Sept. 7.
Conspiracy to commit forgery
Three Haitian nationals also appeared before Magistrate Meeres accused of conspiring to commit forgery.
Charged were Elvita Joseph, 41, and two 17-year-old minors, whom police say conspired to commit the offence of forgery on June 28. The trio pleaded not guilty to the charge and were each granted cash bail in the sums of $2,000. Additionally the minors each were accused of possessing forged Bahamian Certificates of Identity on the mentioned date. They also denied those charges. Both matters were adjourned by the court to be heard on Sept. 6. Sergeant Daxon prosecuted.
Possession of dangerous drugs
In other court news, a 54-year-old resident of Pinewood Gardens pleaded not guilty to possessing a gram of cocaine on June 28 when he appeared before Magistrate Carolita Bethel.
Dereck Wilmott Ferguson was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 with one surety and is expected back in court on Jan. 10, 2006.
Possession with intent
Edward Smith, 18, of South Beach Estates also appeared in the same court and pleaded not guilty to possessing 10 grams of marijuana with the intent to supply on June 28. The court granted him bail in the amount of $7,500 and adjourned the matter to Jan. 10, 2006.
Possession of dangerous drugs
Samantha White, 21, of Step Street, Fox Hill told Magistrate Bethel that she was guilty of possessing one gram of marijuana on June 26.
She was ordered to pay a fine of $500 or in default serve six months in prison. White was found with the drugs in a car on Kemp Road. Inspector Leamond Deleveaux prosecuted.
