Bahamas Minister in Cuba

The minister will meet with agriculture and fishing specialists, researchers and officials during his visit.

Grey emphasized it is important to work in a co-ordinated way to promote collaboration and exchange to achieve a stable result in the region.

From their own point of view, he said the Bahamas has a population of almost 300,000 and gets more than five million tourists a year, and needs to meet these food demands through efficient agricultural production.

“I am sure bilateral agreements will allow us to devise a formula with the support of Cuban specialists in this area, to improve our islandsᄡ agricultural capacity”, Grey noted.

The Agriculture and Fisheries minister said it was important to strengthen agricultural and tourism links between countries of the region.
