Police said the incident occurred around 1am Monday in the Millennium Gardens Subdivision.
At that time a fight erupted at a party in the area, resulting in 18-year-old Cyril Lockhart, being shot, authorities reported.
At last report, the teenager was in stable condition at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
Police investigations were also focused yesterday on an attempted armed robbery in the East Street area.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime, Reginald Ferguson, the incident occurred near Porky’s Gas Station.
At the time, two masked men armed with a shotgun reportedly entered a home in the area, demanding cash. Police said the homeowner screamed she had no money.
Before leaving, the culprits fired a shot but no one was injured.
Police investigations into the incident continue.
