Sanpin Motors managers from across the Caribbean region are looking to strengthen the marketing of the Kia brand of cars on the market.
The car dealership has been the representative for the Kia brand of cars in The Bahamas for nearly 20 years. “Sanpin Motors is one of the top sellers of Kia in the whole [Caribbean] region,” said Andrew Johnson, Marketing Advertising Manager and sales representative at Sanpin.
One of the objectives of the week-long training is that participants will learn how to build up the brand image and market share mainly for the Kia model. “We will be having a professional trainer come in [to hone the skills] of the sales representatives and general managers to make sure we meet the customer demands that are out there. It’s a chance to make ourselves more professional in our areas of business and to make sure that as consumer [trends] change that we change with them to ensure we match their needs,” Mr Johnson said.
One of the dealership’s hottest selling cars is the Kia Oprius. According to Mr Johnson, “It’s a car we’ve had excellent results with. I must say everybody [who has bought the Oprius] is pretty satisfied with their vehicle.”
Although Kia had undergone some growing pains initially, the company is aiming to be the number five car manufacturer in the world by 2010. According to Mr Johnson, the Kia is also the fastest growing car manufacturer in the world.
