In commemoration of its fifth year anniversary, the management of the Westin and Sheraton at Our Lucaya held a multi-purpose social affair on Friday night that included a silent auction, from which all proceeds raised will be used to assist staff members who were affected by Hurricane Wilma.
The event centred around a two-hour cocktail reception, during which the resort also launched its new loyalty dining card. The dining card allows loyal guests and members to enjoy any of the Resort’s 14 themed restaurants and simultaneously receive a 10 percent discount on their meals.
Some 50 staff members of the Resort lost everything and were displaced and dispossessed by Hurricane Wilma’s recent storm. The Resort’s management team has conducted numerous internal and external relief drives, including donating food, money, sheets, blankets and supplies as well as spending three weeks and more than $15,000 in man hours, feeding 500 persons daily in the Western District of Grand Bahaman.
