A senior official at Bahamasair reported on Thursday that the airline’s international services returned to normal following a disruption of international flights on Wednesday.
Managing Director Henry Woods told The Bahama Journal that operations at the airline were back to normal.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Bahamasair explained that the situation resulted from the need to carry out a 12-month maintenance record review on the airlineメs fleet, which was mandated by American aviation authorities.
An official had indicated that maintenance documentation was not completed.
The director of engineering at Bahamasair had advised that the airlineメs entire fleet would have been back in the air by 7pm Wednesday.
The managing director said that as of 2pm Thursday, all of Bahamasairメs fleet had completed its maintenance and was back in service.
Mr. Woods added that all of the passengers affected by the delay were being accommodated by the airline. He assured that all of the necessary measures would be put in place so that similar delays would be prevented in the future.
According to officials, airline personnel worked into the evening to assist passengers affected by the delay. Mr. Woods said officials saw it best to ground the aircraft on Wednesday to have to the matter dealt with.
