The double murder trial of a Bimini man accused of the brutal deaths of two young Austrian tourists last year opened on Thursday in the Supreme Court.

Frederick Cardinal Francis, 23, of Porgy Bay, was arrested and charged last July in connection with the killings at Alice Town, Bimini.

According to reports, the bodies of Bernhard Bolzano, 34, and Barbara Frelln von Perfall, 32, of Austria, were discovered at the Blue Water Resort and Marina. Both had been shot.
