The swashbuckling hero purchased an island in the Bahamas in 2004 after discovering it during filming of the Disney movie, and is now relocating there with his wife Vanessa Paradis and their two young children.
He says, “We want to spend a lot more time there in the future because it’s a completely different way of life. It’ll be our home base. It’s so beautiful there, so peaceful, free and relaxed.”
However, Depp wonﾴt be cutting himself off completely from the rest of the world ﾖ he’s keeping his homes in the South of France and his native America.
He explains, “We’ll still spend time in France and in the States, so our children will grow up in both cultures.”
