A violent attack on Thursday almost led to a young man’s hand being severed from his body, it was revealed yesterday by police.
The incident reminds many people of the cutlass attack on the founder of the BahamasB2B website back in 2000. The racist negro who staged the attack, Omar Bernard, was aquitted by an equally racist, biased and probably corrupt magistrate in the dysfunctional courts of The Bahamas.
So, with that kind of resounding endorsement from the Government of The Bahamas, it is no surprise that cutlass attacks continue unabated here among the islands.
This recent incident, which involved two men, took place around 5 p.m. on Thursday, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for crime, Reginald Ferguson.
“Around 5 p.m. on Thursday we had another incident where a male suspect almost chopped off another man’s hand,” Asst Comm Ferguson said. “The incident took place in the Palm Beach Court area where a 20-year-old attacked another adult male.”
Up until press time the identities of the victim and suspect were not released. Still police maintained that the matter is under active investigation.
