While police were still trying to determine the identity of a female found stuffed in a barrel floating in an Adelaide swamp Sunday night, they were alerted to another unidentified person who turned up dead in waters off Crystal Cay Wednesday afternoon.
Police said that around 3pm, they received a call about the body, which eventually washed ashore on a deserted beach.
Inspector Walter Evans told reporters at the scene foul play was not suspected.
The lifeless body was found face down and clad in a khaki pants, yellow shirt and a pair of white socks.
According to Inspector Evans, due to the deterioration of the maleメs face, it is believe that the body has been in the water over 24 hours.
Police also said that because many Haitian sloops frequent the area they were investigating to determine whether the man was a Haitian.
"We donメt have the identity of this person," Mr. Evans said.
"At this point we only know that a man is dead and we are urging persons to come and report persons who may be missing. Come forward and provide the information so that we may be able to get the identity of the individual."
As for the female who was found in Adelaide, Inspector Evans said that police were still awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause of death.
