A lethal cocktail of drugs killed Anna Nicole Smith’s son Daniel, it was claimed yesterday.
The drugs – including methadone – led to an irregular heartbeat, according to a report in the mass circulation People Magazine.
The magazine reported celebrity pathologist Dr Cyril Wecht as revealing the cause of death following toxicology reports from a US laboratory.
Last night, coroner Linda Virgill – who set the original date for an inquest as October 23 – declined to comment.
But People Magazine quoted Dr Wecht as blaming a combination of methadone, Zoloft and Lexapro for the death of 20year-old Daniel, who was found dead at his mother’s bedside in Doctors Hospital on September 10.
People said Dr Wecht got the cause of death from National Medical Services in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
In the Bahamas, official autopsy and toxicology reports have not been revealed pending an inquest.
