Details were still sketchy at press time last night, but police could confirm that the young man – believed to be in his 20s – died under suspicious circumstances while visiting his famous mother, who had just given birth.
According to police, the celebrity was visiting the Bahamas anonymously to have her child.
The entire facility was an heightened security after the American resident died in one the hospital’s rooms and police launched their investigation. Press liaison officer Walter Evans said that the body of the man was discovered shortly after 9am yesterday. At this point the cause of death has not yet been
determined, Mr Evans said. Police are now awaiting the results of the autopsy.
Given the age of the man, and the absence of any immediate evidence, Mr Evans said that it will have to be established if illness or any other unusual circumstances were responsible for the unexpected death.
Neither police or Doctors Hospital’s CEO Barry Rassin could release any information on the identity of the Hollywood celebrity last night.
