What Makes People Happy?

They’ve traveled nearly 37,000 miles, hit 140 countries and asked thousands of people in myriad languages what the meaning of happiness is. On Friday, they land in Nassau where they will explore happiness Bahamas-style. They’re the ‘traveling happiness ambassadors’ selected by Coca-Cola for its ambitious Expedition 206 program (Expedition206.com), a widely-followed, planned 275,00-mile odyssey.

Their goal — to spread happiness, cheer and goodwill in every one of the 206 countries and territories where Coca-Cola is sold. In each country, the happiness ambassadors exchange a specially decorated Coca-Cola bottle representative of that country’s culture, presenting the bottle they were given at their last destination and carrying the new gift bottle to the next destination

If they are able to meet the demanding itinerary, they will have traveled to more countries than belong to the United Nations and will have set a new world record for the most countries visited in a single year.
