Three Nabbed in Housebreaking Operation

Police nabbed a woman and two men over the weekend as part of an ongoing probe into stolen goods and say more arrests are inevitable before the investigation comes to a close.

Now, police are asking residents who were victim to a housebreaking or robbery to come forward and identify the confiscated goods, said to be valued at least in the thousands, ranging from high-end jewellery, to electronic items such as cellular phones, laptop computers and televisions.

Superintendent Welbourne Bootle, officer in charge of the Eastern Division, at a media briefing at the Lucaya Station on Monday said the arrests follow weeks of surveillance as a result of a proliferation of jewellery theft over the past several months.
