It was an evening of elegance and entertainment as the Miss Bahamas contestants competed in the Talent “fast track” and Evening Gown competitions.
The contestants were simply radiant as they modeled evening gowns of their choice. The stage lit up with bright colors, sparkling fabrics, flowing frocks, and sexy gowns.
A large crowd of supporters were on hand to cheer on their favorite contestants, and they had ample opportunity to do so in the Talent “fast track” competition which followed.
Singing, dancing, acting and more kept the crowd entertained as the contestants showed the judges that they have a lot more to offer than just beauty and brains. Although not mandatory, the Talent competition is an important event on the Miss Bahamas calendar because the winner automatically advances to the semifinals.
The points from that competition however, are not included in the scores which determine the Top 10. On the other hand, the evening gown scores account for 40% of the score which is combined with the swimsuit score, then added to the judges interview votes to determine 5 of the Top 10.
The other 5 are determined by fast tracks: Sportswoman, Swimsuit, Talent, Beauty with a Purpose, and People’s Choice. The results from the Evening Gown/Talent competitions will be revealed during the pageant finale on Sunday night.
